Freedom of consciousness
I am definitely not an expert neither would I call myself a very experienced #psychonaut but #freedom of #consciousness should be an imperative of 'life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness' - your birth right and every little act that goes against you deciding upon your own body and your own mind is at least suspicious (especially in my head these days regarding abortion legality, dude stay outta my uterus and my mind).
Through this post I want to share some #psychedelic resources (picture numero 2) for educational purposes and some quotes of psychedelic advocates.
favourite podcast ressource: "Psychedelics Today is dedicated to exploring and discussing the important academic/scientific and other research in the field of psychedelics" https://open.spotify.com/show/3vRPGbzS7IeNeKBQtDwteu...
I am aware that there is a lack in diversity regarding cultural and ethnic background, gender and shown perspective with the people I am quoting. I am passionate about sharing the voices of @mariapapaspyrou and @chiarabaldini in the future as well as indigenous voices!
Terrence McKenna: ✺“Nature is not our enemy, to be raped and conquered. Nature is ourselves, to be cherished and explored.”
✺“It's clearly a crisis of two things: of consciousness and conditioning. We have the technological power, the engineering skills to save our planet, to cure disease, to feed the hungry, to end war; But we lack the intellectual vision, the ability to change our minds. We must decondition ourselves from 10,000 years of bad behavior. And, it's not easy.”
✺“Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behaviour and information processing. They open you up to the possibility that everything you know is wrong."
And to quote the mycologist Paul Stamet: ✺"We need to have a paradigm shift in our consciousness. If we don't get our act together and come in commonality and understanding with the organisms that sustain us today, not only will we destroy those organisms, but we will destroy ourselves."
